This is among the most touristy place in Italy. It is a popular city that was buried under several feet of volcanic ash for about 1700 years after eruption of Mt. Vesuvius. The city can be found close to the modern city of Napoli and you can go on a guided tour here to see the everyday life of the ancient Roman world. The best thing to do here is to wander around the ancient streets where you are going to see the ruins of brothels, bakeries, and baths.
